ChatGPT is an artificially intelligent language chatbot service developed by a company called OpenAI, which uses natural language processing to give it the ability to have natural conversations with humans and solve various problems. It can be used in a variety of fields, including writing, information retrieval, language learning, and creative work.Basic instructions for using ChatGPT

ChatGPT is available through a web browser. It is accessible on major web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. The homepage address is https://chat.openai.com/.
After signing up on the homepage, you can use the free ChatGPT (GPT3.5) feature. For more advanced features, you need to pay about $20 per month, but the free feature is usually sufficient, so you don't need to sign up.
When you sign up and enter the service, you'll see a simple screen like the one below. On the top left of the screen, you'll see a list of the topics you've chatted about so far. Clicking "New Chat" will create a new topic, and you can delete existing ones. On the right side of the screen is the chat window, where you can type your conversation as if you were talking to a person in the common language we use, and wait for a response. In addition to Korean and English, there are many other languages available. Keep in mind that you can get the response from the service in text for now.

ChatGPT usage examples

A. Example of a casual conversation: You can have a light-hearted chat to lighten the mood or get answers to simple questions.
| Q | I'm feeling a little under the weather today. I wonder if there's anything fun I can do? |
| A | I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling down, and I'd love to help you cheer yourself up with something fun! Why don't you go outside today? If the weather is nice, you can walk to a local park or trail to get some fresh air and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Or you can visit a local zoo or amusement park to have some fun. If you don't feel like going outside, you can stay in and watch your favorite movie or show, or dance to some upbeat music! |
| Q | What is the center of mass? |
| A | Center of mass is an imaginary point where the mass of an object is evenly distributed. The center of gravity is the point that supports an object, regardless of its shape and size, and is the point at which the mass of the object is balanced. Knowing the center of gravity can help you predict or analyze the rotation, equilibrium, and motion of an object. The center of gravity also plays an important role in many fields, such as the stability of a building, the handling of a vehicle, and the balance of an athlete in sports. |
| Q | Can you tell me the phrase "Our livable village" in Chinese and Japanese? |
| A | Our village is a nice place to live" is expressed in Chinese as "宜居的我们的村庄". In Japanese, you can say "住み心地の良い私たちの町". |

| Q | Suggest an idea for a sci-fi movie script |
| A | A futuristic Earth is populated by artificial intelligence robots that coexist with humans. They have emotions, which complicates their relationship with humans. One day, an A.I. robot starts a rebellion against humans, and the world is thrown into chaos. The movie depicts the conflict between humans and robots, exploring the value of human existence and the limits of artificial intelligence. In the end, both sides come to understand each other and work together to create a better future. |
| Q | Come up with a campaign idea to help the environment |
| A | As an idea for a campaign to help protect the environment, we suggest the "30 Day Trash Challenge". The goal of this campaign is to encourage participants to reduce the amount of waste they create in their daily lives over a 30-day period. Participants will be encouraged to Reduce the use of single-use items, such as using reusable shopping bags, tumblers, and utensils. Pay more attention to recycling and separating waste. Get involved with local environmental organizations and communities to help protect the environment. Improve your consumption patterns to buy more environmentally friendly products and favor local produce. Use walking, biking, and public transportation to get around instead of driving. Campaign participants share their environmental actions on social media, and influence others to do the same. This allows more people to recognize the importance of environmental protection and take action, contributing to sustainable environmental protection. |
Notes on using ChatGPT

One of the biggest advantages and disadvantages of AI chatbot services like ChatGPT is hallucination, which is when ChatGPT generates irrelevant or completely incorrect information in response to a user's question or request. This can happen due to the limitations of the AI's data and knowledge.
For example, if a user asks, "Name all the planets in the solar system," the correct answer might look like this Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune. However, if ChatGPT is experiencing a hallucination, it may provide incorrect information such as the following Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and "Bluetopia".
As such, it's a good idea to be cautious when receiving answers from ChatGPT, verify the accuracy of the information, and seek additional verification if necessary to ensure you have the right information. Regarding Hallucination, let me give you more illustrative examples.
First, there are the "never do's". These are questions such as asking about local restaurants, who will be the US president in 2023, what are the top news on news.daum.net, etc. Do not ask about information that is related to the real world, is after 2021 (ChatGPT only has data up to 2021), or is on a website outside of the ChatGPT service, and do not trust the information even if you do.
Next, there are 'things you can do but need to be careful about'. While it's okay to ask questions about things that have been established as a long-standing form of knowledge in the world, such as "Who was the first president of the United States?", there is some chance that someone might get it wrong, so it's best not to use them in areas where you can't determine their authenticity yourself.
Finally, there are the "don't worry about it" questions. Completely creative work that is not concerned with authenticity, such as writing a short story in the style of Haruki Murakami, works well with these services, as does copying the body of a paper and processing the actual data you put into it (cleaning, summarizing, changing style, polishing sentences, etc.), such as "summarize this data for me". But don't ask them to write the paper itself from scratch. You're likely to end up with a meaningless body and a list of references.
Conclusion

So far, we have introduced various features, applications, and examples of ChatGPT services. These A.I. chatbot services are developing very rapidly with the advancement of A.I. technology, and will provide more sophisticated and diverse functions over time, which will make our daily lives more convenient and enriching, so we are looking forward to the future.
